My name is Marietjie Nel and I have been the franchise owner of Playball Middelburg since 1997.  Originally a teacher by profession, I still view myself first and foremost as exactly that:  a teacher of children.  The concept of Playball excited me because of its amazing educational potential. The programme is everything but a "ball" programme.  It is, in fact, a learning programme which offers children learning experiences which are similar to the things learnt in the classroom.  At the same time, it provides children with a sound base of movement - the very key to all cognitive development.  I have a passion for development and in Playball found my place to live it every day!

In Middelburg we are fortunate enough to coach Playball at about 40 schools:  some of them small daycare centres, some private schools and others government schools.  Our team consists of 9 coaches - all of them committed teachers with good sporting backgrounds.  We believe in high standards and work hard to provide good service to our young clients, teachers at schools and parents.  Above all, we love what we do and feel fortunate to be part of the lives of so many children on a daily basis.
